Shulamit Day’s vocation is communication. The majority of her professional experience
has been in the realm of transmitting messages by one means or another, including through radio journalism, PR consulting
and counselling. Currently, she earns her living as a certified translator. She is also a certified yoga teacher
and has practiced yoga since she was a child. Shulamit's current spiritual practice includes NVC, meditation, and participation
in the Ottawa Reconstructionist Chavurah.
Shulamit began learning and practicing NVC in 2003 and is now an NVC trainer certification
candidate. She has 200 hours of NVC training, participates in a bi-weekly practice group and is a member of a number
of online NVC communities. Since experiencing a serious illness in 2002, compassionate authenticity (for herself and others)
has become her guiding principle and life practice.
Wendy and Shulamit have been studying compassionate
communication together since 2003 and have attended many NVC workshops in Canada and in the US.
