Wendy K Aitken (nee Yaxley) is a Kingston girl who went to Bayridge Public
School and Bayridge Secondary School.
She founded Innovative Communication Resources in the Winter of 2005.
She studied at Trent University and holds a BSc in Psychology. Wendy
was in the first Trent/Queen's Concurrent Education Program and holds a teaching degree.
She studied Reiki with a Reiki Master who now lives in Oregon, and has attained
Reiki Master in both the Usui and Tan Ran traditions. Wendy has been a Kripalu Certified Yoga Teacher for 12 years,
has taught people from 2 years to 82.
Wendy is also a Non Violent Communication ethusiast in the tradition of Marshall
Rosenberg and cnvc.org. She has completed an International Intensive Training, (Rochester, NY with Marshall Rosenberg)
and an Advanced NVC training (Malibu, California with the NVC Institute) As well as trainings several 2 day trainings
with Rachelle Lamb, Duke Duchscherer, and Wes Taylor.
ICResources is the culmination of a dream for Wendy. It is a combination
of her teaching, and learning experiences. In our society we must be life long learners, things are changing so
rapidly. To do this we must remain healthy and well. It is through always learning about tools that will help
us to come into balance, and learn how to return there when life *stresses* us out we will have full, fun and satisfying lives.
